Ways to Get Involved

Attending Meetings and Events

Typically, our regular meetings are held every over Thursday at 6:00pm in Chem. Sci. 102. This meetings are usually to inform members of business inside of AIChE and to have guest speakers. Beyond that, we regularly have other get-togethers including: picnics, volunteering, plant trips, holiday parties, etc.

Becoming a Local Member

Becoming an active local member has lots of benefits including discounts for fundraiser's, access to food at meetings/events, gaining contacts with industry, and much more! Semesterly dues can be paid using this form. These dues help pay for food, plant trips, Chem-E Car, and other events that keep the chapter functioning.

A new incentive program has been initiated that is meant to reward those members who stay active in the chapter, most notably, they will receive recognition at the end of the year and receive additional discounts on fund raisers. Your hours of involvement will be automatically be logged at organized events when you sign in. Additional hours, including coaching at the coaching center, can be logged using this form. The incentive program is designed to give the most reward to those who are moderately active in the organization. There is less gain for those who only participate a little and those who overachieve. How the points are calculated can be found here.

Becoming a National Member

Becoming a national member is free as a student! The largest benefit is having access to Knovel, a huge database with chemical data and information about chemical processes, including Perry's Handbook. Go to aiche.org to register!
